Passionate about music and cinema, Camélia Jordana gained recognition by participating in the Nouvelle Star competition at the age of sixteen. She released her first album, “Camélia Jordana”, in 2010, which met with considerable success, followed by a second album, “Dans la peau”, in 2014.
Also an actress, she made her film debut in 2012 with a supporting role in Clément Michel’s dramedy The Stroller Strategy. She then appeared in feature films such as Bird People by Pascal Ferran (2014), Parents d’élèves by Noémie Saglio (2019), Sisters in Arms by Caroline Fourest (2019), and more recently Night Ride by Frédéric Farrucci, as well as The Things We Say, The Things We Do by Emmanuel Mouret (2020).
In 2019, she won the César Award for Most Promising Actress for her role alongside Daniel Auteuil in Le Brio by Yvan Attal, and at the Victoires de la Musique, she received the award for Best World Music Album for her third album, “Lost”. On January 29, 2021, she released “facile x fragile”, a new double album blending pop and electro-acoustic sounds, exploring themes such as relationships between men and women.
At the beginning of 2022, she performed in the theatrical concert “Andando Lorca 1936” at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord and starred in Kilian Riedhof’s film You Will Not Have My Hate. In 2023, Camélia headlined the highly anticipated romantic comedy series Irrésistible on Disney+.
Recently, the actress appeared in the films Les Tempêtes by Dania Reymond, Shukran by Pietro Malegori, and Reine Mère by Manel Labidi, which was released last month.
