Selman Nacar
Born in 1990 in Usak, Turkey, he first studied law and film at Bilgi University in Istanbul, and now holds an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University in New York City. He gave lectures on fictional filmmaking at the same university. In 2005, he founded Kuyu Film, a production company that produced the films The Pillar of Salt (2018) and Belonging (2019), both directed by Burak Cevik and presented at the Berlin Film Festival Forum Section. His directorial debut Between Two Dawns premiered at the 2021 San Sebastian Film Festival. Hesitation Wound is his second film.
