Michael and Zuzka are a happy couple, fulfilled by their success and by the presence of their young daughter, Dominika. But one scorching hot day, tragedy strikes, shattering their perfect bond and turning their lives upside down. Their story is splashed across the media, and despite the weight of public opinion and those around them, a fragile bond begins to form between them, suspended between guilt and love.

Tereza Nvotová

Slovak filmmaker and actress Tereza Nvotová, born in Prague and based in New York, graduated in documentary filmmaking from Prague’s Film and TV School (FAMU). Her work confronts social taboos head-on, whether exposing the murky ties of a politician in her documentary The Lust for Power or addressing sexual violence in her fiction film Filthy. Father is her third feature.
