Yutaro SEKI & Kentaro HIRASE

Born in Kanagawa, Japan and San Francisco, USA respectively, Yutaro Seki and Kentaro Hirase graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. Alongside Masahiko Sato, they directed several short films, including Happo-en (2014) and Duality (2018), which were screened at the Cinéfondation of the Cannes Film Festival. They later made their feature-length debut with Roleless, selected for the 2022 San Sebastián Film Festival. Sai Disaster is their second film.
