A vast public works project in West Africa. Horn, the construction site manager, and Cal, a young engineer, share lodging behind the double gates of their compound. Claire Denis

Born in Paris, Claire Denis spent her childhood in Africa. A graduate of IDHEC, she made her debut feature in 1988, Chocolat, a semi-autobiographical story set in 1950s colonial Africa, which premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2022, Both Sides of the Blade won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale, while Stars at Noon received the Grand Prix at Cannes.
