Rod Blackhurst
Born in Herkimer, New York, he directed several award-winning short films including the SXSW official selection Would You (2012), Alone Time (2013), Mommy (2020), and Hysteric (2021). He directed and showran the documentary series John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise (2021) for Peacock and directed NatGeo’s Welcome to Earth (2021) starring Will Smith. He also directed and produced the Netflix Original Documentary Amanda Knox (2016) and the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival Audience Award Winning Here Alone. Blood for Dust is his second feature film.
