Levan Koguashvili
Born in 1973 in Tbilisi, Georgia, he graduated from the Theater and Film Georgia State University, the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow and the New York University Tisch School of the Art’s Graduate Film Program. His feature debut, Street Days, was regarded by many critics as the beginning of a new wave of the modern Georgian cinema. His next film, Blind Dates, premiered at Berlin in 2013. Three years later, he directed the documentary Gogita’s New Life which received an IDFA nomination for Best Documentary Film. Brighton 4th is his third fiction feature film.
