Shane Atkinson
Born in Northern California, he received his M.F.A. in screenwriting and directing from Columbia University. His first work is described by his mother as “very funny” and “why are there so many swear words?”. He wrote and directed several short films, like Penny Dreadful, which won the Audience Award at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival in 2013, or The Ambassador, broadcast on France 2 in 2020. The feature-length film of his screenplay Poms, starring Diane Keaton and directed by Zara Hayes, was released in 2019. LaRoy is his debut feature film.
